MotorStorm Apocalypse Review - PS3

The game’s biggest hook, without a doubt, is its Apocalyptic setting that not only looks cool but factors into gameplay as well. Since you are racing in a city ravaged by earthquakes, cyclones and tornadoes, the forces of nature can kick in anytime and change – quite literally – the rules of the game. Buildings will fall around you, opening up new routes or doubling up as gigantic ramps, while a nearby cyclone can fling vehicles around all around the track creating a new shortcut that never existed in the previous lap. You can’t comprehend the chaos that unfolds during races unless you play it yourself.

Speaking of pains in the backside, special mention goes out to MA’s crushing difficulty that kicks in after a few hours of gameplay. The career is split up into three sections – Rookie, Pro and Veteran. Gamers who even have a bit of racing experience will cruise through Rookie but as soon as you enter Pro, the difficulty just ramps itself up significantly. Where you were once cruising to the finish line in first place, you’ll find it tough to even come in third. Races will be lost multiple times as even a single screw up could lead to defeat. Making matters worse is the super aggressive AI who are hell bent on annihilating your ride at all times.

WWE All Star Review

WWE All Stars |
The most noticeable difference in All Stars is the over-the-top design, which extends from the character design to the exaggerated impact of even regular attacks. Opponents will bounce off the mat and fly ten feet in the air from a simple clothesline, allowing you to pull off a grappling move while he is helplessly suspended in mid-air. You can jump all the way across the ring off the turn buckle and even moves like piledrivers and DDTs are delivered with superhuman power and added visual effects. It’s all intentionally unrealistic and it works quite well with the game’s overall art style. As if the wrestler’s didn’t look muscular enough already, their character models in All Stars are beefed up to at least five times their original size, more closely resembling action figures than their real life counterparts. Their facial features are also more pronounced; The Rock’s chiseled face and square jaw almost resembles Johnny Bravo’s, but at the same time is instantly recognizable.

New Resident Evil Game Announced
![]() |
Resident Evil |
The game takes place in 1998, a time where Resident Evil fans already know what's set to take place.
The title lets you enjoy the series from a new perspective, as the men and women who are technically responsible for it all.
Rather than continuing the zombie slaying antics of BSAA agents, you're taken back to the original outbreak "that underscored both Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3: Nemesis."
The game doesn't require any crazy amounts of knowledge of the past titles or characters involved in the series.
The title opens up to a "quartet of new faces". Essentially, you're playing as members of the official Umbrella Security Services squad.
Operation Raccoon City is a team-based shooter allowing four members of the USS team to destroy all evidence of the ongoing outbreak.
Along with slaying the zombies, you're looking to "kill pretty much every survivor possible".
The gameplay is described as "dirty", and the series will feel much darker than it has up to this point.

Nintendo Set to Announce the Wii 2 this June
Nintendo has been in the news a lot lately, not all the right reasons, though. The drop in its sales figures and the thinning out of its games titles can be possibly credited for this. But, come June, all this is set to change with Nintendo supposedly planning to announce the second generation of the Wii at E3 2011.
This system may be more powerful than the XBOX 360 and PS3 with an IBM PowerPC CPU, an ATI R700 series GPU and a 512MB RAM. Reports say it will have an all-new controller featuring a built-in 6 inch HD touch sensitive screen. Additionally it features a front-facing camera and can double as a Wii Remote sensor bar. It is also rumoured that the new console will be backward compatible enabling users to play all their existing Wii game titles. It reportedly will not bear the Wii name and would be available only by late 2012. E3 will kick off on June 7th and Nintendo always has a press conference before it begins.
